Laura Raether
Laura Raether carefully monitors the mid-point of the cheesemaking process – testing for the perfect balance of salt in the cheese that creates the desired flavors Black Creek Classics are noted for.
She has been a Black Creek employee for over five years, and she is also a local resident, having lived in the area for her entire life. Laura describes Black Creek as a “rural, friendly, and family-oriented” place where people are laid-back but still take great pride in what they do.
The pride and care that goes into making Black Creek Classics everyday are what set it aside from cheese produced elsewhere.
As Laura contested, “I’ve tasted other types of cheddar cheese, and you can tell the difference between those and what comes from Black Creek.”
Laura looks forward to being a part of producing fine cheeses for many years to come.
